Joiner/Carpenter Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 08:00-17:00 Salary: £38,928.71 per annum Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA5 1UD Join G4S Facilities Management at the Hinkley Point C site, supporting the Operations & Project Manager in delivering critical fit-out and building fabric alteration works. This is a dynamic role for an experienced Joiner/Carpenter who can seamlessly transition between detailed project work and general handyman tasks. You will play a key part in minor building reconfigurations, working from project inception and planning through to execution across the site. Key Responsibilities As a versatile tradesperson, your role will span project delivery, maintenance, and compliance: Project & Core Joinery Focus Dismantle and erect new and old walls and ceilings as part of project teams. Specialise in tape and joint plasterboard partition walls. Install internal wooden doors and fix associated ironmongery. Execute planned Workspace Re-engineering tasks as required. Perform essential painting and decorating and cutting in internal/external windows. Maintenance & Support Carry out a full range of general handyman tasks in line with fabric building maintenance. Perform reactive repair & maintenance tasks designated by the HPC Helpdesk team. Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to meet business needs. Conduct maintenance inspections and repairs to various assets, including furniture, fixtures, fittings, and grounds. Provide holiday/sickness cover within the FM maintenance team. Safety & Administration: Perform the duties of an Accompanying Safety Person (ASP). Raise work requests through the CAFM system to ensure full traceability. Assist in the review of CAD layout drawings for minor fabric changes.
