The team also supply and support transport need for Mainstream, Child Care as well as Adults. Casual Passengers are required from the East Area contracted to cover Regular Passenger Assistant absence. Hours are flexible and based on availability - Term Time Only -commencing at £13.05 per hour. The role of a Passenger Assistant is to support children and young people with additional needs providing assistance/support in maintaining a safe environment on the journey from/to home/school. This vacancy is to support children/young people in the East Dorset Area. Dorset Travel is looking for caring, flexible and responsible passenger assistant who have: Knowledge of moderate and complex learning needs. An understanding of safeguarding children. Recognition of a hazard and how to report. Customer Care You must be physically fit with the ability to run, bend, stretch, push, pull, lift, carry and kneel to provide the care required for the position of a Passenger Assistant. Further Information Dorset Travel is also an accredited training centre with experienced and qualified trainers, new staff will be invited onto a full induction training course, providing the tools and knowledge to enable you to work safely and professionally. Full training is provided covering: Safeguarding Manual Handling Emergency First Aid Customer Care Additional Training is offered: Midazolam – epilepsy Epi Pen – allergies Feed Pump Please note you will need to have Business Insurance in order to attend Induction and Refresher Training.
