We have a vacancy for a Senior Biomedical Scientist (Night Shift Supervisor) role in our Blood Sciences department at the Halo, 1 Mabledon Place, Central London.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will supervise and participate in the out-of-hours rota to support the 24/7 service covering Biochemistry, Haematology, Immunology, and Virology. Responsibilities include supervising biomedical scientists and support staff, maintaining professional and technical standards, managing QMG processes, and training.

Job responsibilities
Supervise and participate in out-of-hours Blood Sciences operations, collaborating with senior scientific staff to ensure efficient service and uphold standards. Duties include sample analysis across various sections, managing staff, ensuring quality control, interpreting results, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with standards such as CPA/UKAS. The role involves leadership, safety, troubleshooting, and liaising with other departments.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Pathology qualification with State Registration
* MSc or equivalent in a relevant field
* Current HCPC registration
* Specialist Diploma in relevant discipline
