Description The opportunity We are seeking a dedicated Intake Coordinator to join our Residential Care team in a newly created role, responsible for coordinating the end-to-end referral and intake process for children referred by Child Safety. Reporting to the State Manager – Non-Family Based Care, you will ensure timely and accurate management of referrals, facilitate pre-placement planning, and maintain communication with stakeholders to ensure safe and appropriate placements. In addition, you will monitor referral channels, maintain accurate records in the client management system, and provide reporting to support compliance and decision-making across the state. Full-time employment, fixed-term 12 month contract Work based from the Ipswich or Maroochydore IFYS offices $76,300 base per annum pro rata superannuation – IFYS is committed to gender pay equity Excellent not for profit salary packaging options (package up to $15,900 per FBT year) Unique in-house training opportunities including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Preventing Child Sexual Exploitation and Sanctuary training Work within a dynamic, positive and supportive work environment Annual $250 personal wellbeing reimbursement benefit towards eligible activities Free access to the CALM Premium App Flight Centre personal travel discounts Access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Key responsibilities Monitor referral channels and ensure all referrals are actioned promptly and appropriately Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate safe and suitable placements Coordinate pre-placement planning meetings and provide Regional Managers with required briefs and actions Organise Placement Consideration Panels and support completion of risk assessments and intake documentation Maintain accurate records and upload referral documentation in the client management system Prepare reports and track placement capacity to support decision-making and compliance requirements To be successful in this role you will possess Demonstrated experience in managing the end-to-end referral process for child safety placements or similar Professional experience within Child Safety Residential Care (desired) Knowledge of risk assessment processes and placement planning requirements Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data management A high level of confidentiality, integrity and awareness of sensitive information Ability to analyse data and prepare reports to support compliance and decision-making Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ability to learn client management systems Strong time management and prioritisation skills to manage competing deadlines Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful Valid Queensland Driver's License with no restrictions, and own reliable transport Queensland Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card) Licensed Care Service Suitability Check (LCS2) Ability to provide two references from recent employers (including your current line manager) National Criminal History Check (a new check will be conducted through IFYS systems) Application and assessment process When submitting your application, please include your current CV and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
