We are seeking two caring and dependable carers to provide one-to-one support for an adult with autism. This role focuses on promoting independence, wellbeing and participation in everyday life.
Location: Selby
Hours: Monday to Friday 4pm to 7pm (Wednesday 430pm to 730pm)
About the Role:
You will support with daily routines, community access and enjoyable activities, helping to build confidence and maintain a structured, supportive environment tailored to individual needs.
Duties may include:
* Assisting with daily living tasks and routines
* Supporting access to community activities and appointments
* Encouraging communication and social engagement
* Following personalised support and care plans
* Providing reassurance and maintaining a calm, consistent approach
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be patient, kind and respectful
* Have an understanding of autism or a willingness to learn
* Be reliable, flexible and able to work independently
* Hold a full driving licence (desirable but not essential)
* Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check
Experience is welcome but not essential, as full training and guidance will be provided.
