Are you a ‘human geographer’ or a ‘physical geographer’? Doyou enjoy looking at population distribution over the reasons why a volcanomight erupt? In A Level Geography you will study both the human physicalenvironment, and the causality that exists between activity and the state ofour planet. You will have the opportunity to develop a range of skills,including photograph interpretation, data analysis, essay writing and mapreading and have access to extensive use of the College’s technology andGeographical Information Systems.

Five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above which includes: English, Mathematics and Geography

Field work skills will be developed as part of the courseand the previous trips have included Keswick, Malham Tarn and Afon Conwy inWales. Students are encouraged to get involved and plan their field trip! Youwill carry out land-use surveys, questionnaires, soil samples and otherexperiments and discuss their validity and reliability.
