Our client is a global insurance brokerage with an established international presence and a strong reputation in the London Market. They specialise in delivering tailored insurance solutions to clients worldwide, working across major lines including Property, Casualty, Financial Lines, and Specialty classes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support brokers in the placement and servicing of Australian Property & Casualty accounts, including open market and binding authority business.
2. Prepare and produce market documentation, including MRC slips, endorsements, evidence of cover, and debit/credit notes.
3. Liaise with underwriters at Lloyd’s and London Market insurers to obtain quotations and negotiate terms.
4. Assist with renewals, mid-term adjustments, and policy issuance in accordance with client instructions and regulatory requirements.
5. Maintain strong relationships with producing brokers, clients, and underwriters.
6. Ensure compliance with internal procedures and FCA regulations.
7. Prepare bordereaux and other client reports as required.
8. Contribute to the efficiency of the broking team, identifying opportunities for process improvement and client service enhancement.
Key Skills & Experience:
9. Previous experience as an Account Handler, Broker Technician, or Junior Broker within the London Market.
10. Exposure to international Property & Casualty risks, ideally including Australian business.
11. Strong technical knowledge of slip production, policy documentation, and Lloyd’s market processes.
12. Proficiency in Lloyd’s systems (e.g., PPL, DCOM, ATLAS, BAR, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
13. Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
14. A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
