Location: Warrington, North West
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £45-55,000 (depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
As a Residential Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in our project team, ensuring the successful delivery of our residential developments. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting detailed cost analysis and preparing estimates for residential construction projects.
2. Collaborating with the project team to establish and monitor project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
3. Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier agreements to secure the best value for the company.
4. Managing and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
5. Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and identify any variations or issues that may impact project costs.
6. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions related to the project.
7. Collaborating with other departments to optimise cost-effectiveness and efficiency in project delivery.
Requirements:
8. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
9. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential construction industry.
10. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control.
11. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
12. Proficient in the use of relevant software, such as MS Excel and industry-specific quantity surveying tools.
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
14. Membership with a relevant professional body (RICS, CIOB, etc.) is advantageous.
