Overview
Activities Coordinator-Medicine for the Elderly at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. This is a permanent, part-time position. Salary is pro rata for part-time hours. Shift pattern: Monday – Sunday day shift – 3 x 6 hours 10 minutes shifts per week.
Responsibilities
* Assist the team in delivering care and organising structured, meaningful and therapeutic activities to aid the rehabilitation of patients.
* Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of patients’ social & leisure activities.
* Organise and participate, alongside the team, in therapeutic leisure activities on a group and one-to-one basis.
* Complete induction including the HCSW workbook, mandatory LearnPro training and Moving and Handling training.
* You may be asked to assist with aspects of personal care including assisting patients to the toilet and with their food at mealtimes.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, literacy and numeracy skills, and the ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
