Overview

Slough CMHT has an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse who wishes to join our dynamic and multi-disciplinary team. A Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm working pattern is just one of the attractions this opportunity will provide to you. The post holder will have the opportunity to develop group work, as well as individual intervention skills. Slough is the second largest town in Berkshire and is within the Greater London Urban Area. The A4, M4, M40 and M25 are all easily accessible making travel to and from very straightforward. The post holder will provide high quality treatments, care co-ordination, long term casework, and will be involved in recovery focused treatment interventions. This requires working collaboratively with other disciplines and other teams in the locality to ensure a comprehensive service is provided to the local and diverse population. Should you be interested in the post, training opportunities will become available for our Structured Clinical Management and Managing Emotions Programme. The successful post holder will be supported by our commitment to continuing personal development, and as such these are only two of many very exciting opportunities that Slough CMHT has to offer.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside a range of professionals including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, support workers, and our administration team.

Individual plans will be developed in discussion with the patient and informed by the wider team using the principles of recovery.
* As an experienced member of the team the post holder will manage and supervise junior staff and actively participate in quality assurance and education programmes.
* This is a summary of the responsibilities associated with this post and is not intended as an exhaustive or precise definition of details and consequently will be subject to review considering the developing services.

2. Registered for practice through NMC
