Our client is a leading brand and one of the most recognisable names in Leeds City Centre. Having grown significantly over the last few years they now have a new role of Purchase Ledger Controller that they have created due to the growth of the team and the business.
Responsibilities include:
* Overall accountability for the Accounts Payable function, with the possibility of overseeing a direct report if/when volumes necessitate it.
* Precise and timely processing of invoices, approved in line with the group's Delegation of Authority (DoA).
* Preparation of payment runs.
* Efficient and prompt handling of invoice queries.
* Accurate allocation of manual postings and payments.
* Regular reconciliation of supplier statements and swift resolution of discrepancies.
* Management of the aged payables ledger, including monthly reconciliation with the general ledger.
* Maintenance of supplier information.
* Continuous review and governance of the AP function to ensure strong AP controls.
* Coordination with internal stakeholders and external suppliers as necessary.
* Support for the Accounts Payable function during the year-end audit.
* Participation in other ad hoc areas/projects as requested.
* Other reasonable duties or attendance at meetings as required.
