Herefordshire College has a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a high‑achieving department in a successful Further Education College located in Hereford.
This part‑time role involves preparing, teaching and mentoring students in the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification. Students are part‑time and highly motivated, progressing from a Certificate in Accounting to a Diploma in Professional Accounting with professional AAT membership.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, teach and mentor students across all three levels of the AAT qualification.
* Deliver Costing/Management Accounting at all three levels.
* Communicate effectively with students, employers and other stakeholders to enhance student experience and facilitate future employment opportunities.
* Maintain and strive to improve the department’s above‑national average achievement rates.
Qualifications
* Relevant accounting qualification and industry experience.
* Passion for the subject.
* Recognised teaching qualification highly desirable.
* Knowledge of VAT, payroll and business skills an advantage.
Working Hours & Salary
Part‑time (2½ days per week, 18.5 hours). Salary £29,367 – £38,066 (pro‑rate). Contract: Part‑time. Start date: ASAP. Listing expires 3 Nov 2025.
