Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and wish to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing environment. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners to support the development and care of children in our nursery setting.
Duties
* Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's learning and development.
* Support the daily care routines of children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and hygiene.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive nursery environment.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving nursery practices.
* Maintain a clean and organised nursery space, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
* Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with senior staff as required.
Qualifications
* A genuine interest in working with children and a commitment to their development.
* Previous experience in childcare or nursery settings is advantageous but not essential.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles is preferred.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to demonstrate management and leadership qualities when working with peers.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for potential travel between locations or activities.
