Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and oversee database policies and procedures Perform database operations, activity scheduling, logging, patching, maintenance, backups, and data warehousing Develop and deploy ETL solutions and reports to support applications, data integration, and operational needs Assist application and web development staff and users with applying database solutions to business problems Manage database performance optimization through monitoring, indexing, database structural improvements, and hardware/software upgrades Perform database and associated software life-cycle activities to ensure peak system performance Ensure data compliance with State Department requirements Recommend and implement current and emerging database tools, technologies, and best practices to continually improve customer experience Review proposed database changes to understand impact to supported applications and operations Lead database migration efforts Mentor fellow IT staff in database management Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) or more years’ experience in Oracle database administration Must possess an active SECRET security clearance at the time of hiring You must be a U.S. citizen and have Oracle experience to be considered for this role.
