Hays are delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with this successful business in Telford who are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team
Your new role
You will be working closely with the management accountant and duties will include:
1. Weekly/ monthly journal production
2. Production of first draft Monthly Management Accounts
3. Production of standard support notes for Management Accounts
4. Production of cost sheets for Operational departmentspletion and distribution and review
5. Make any adjustments required post review of Management Accounts and Cost Sheets
6. Assist the Financial Controller with balance sheet reconciliations and budget related tasks
7. Operational cover for other departments
What you'll need to succeed
We’re seeking a detail-oriented individual with a sharp eye for accuracy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment. Collaboration and adaptability are key—you’ll be working closely with a supportive team, contributing to a business that values flexibility and proactive thinking.You should be an experienced Assistant Accountant looking to broaden their scope or an individual with solid accounting experience who may be studying AAT (not essential) and eager to take the next step in your career
