HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023 and offers a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment upon release and reduce reoffending rates. The pharmacy is a part of the healthcare department and works with a team of 15 pharmacy staff.
Hours
* Monday – Sunday service
* 37.5 hours per week – 3 to 4 days per week
* 7 am – 6 pm Monday – Friday
* 7:30 pm – 6:30 pm weekends
* One weekend in four
* 4‑week rolling rota
Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding quality, patient‑centred care by listening to, soliciting and acting on patient feedback.
* Ensure safe and secure medicines management, maintaining patient medical records to agreed standards and following standard operating procedures.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and cost‑effective prescribing.
* Act as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
* Support career development opportunities, including internal and external training.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3, BTEC or equivalent.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Up‑to‑date with Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
* Preferable experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
