The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join CAMHS multi disciplinary locality team. The team works with children and young people who present with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. NHS Lanarkshire provides excellent opportunities for training and development.

What we'll need you to bring

1. Registered Nurse*, AHP or Social Worker or be a qualified as a child trained Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAP) evidence of relevant experience and appropriate post registration training that fulfils the competences of this post
2. Further education/evidence of continuous professional development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification.
3. Educated to /operating at Masters Degree Level.
4. Educated to or undertaking Post Graduate Certificate / Diploma Qualification level in an evidence based psychological therapy/appropriate intervention as recognised in the National Psychological Therapies Matrix for the intended client group.
5. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative.
6. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Excellent time-management skills.
8. Proficient in the use of Microsoft IT Packages
9. Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA drivers licence

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have

10. Relevant recent practice with children and families with mental health problems or learning disability
11. Evidence of personal contribution to service planning and design projects
12. Knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly in relation to children and mental health
13. Knowledge and basic understanding of systems, psychodynamic and cognitive approaches and recognition of when each is appropriate

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in:

Post 1: Coathill,Glendoe,Airdrie, Coatbridge & Cumbernauld CAMHS

Post 2: Udston Hospital & Hamilton/Clydesdale CAMHS

The working pattern for this role: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
