CSG / Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability
Full-Time: 35 hours per week
Fixed-Term: 15 months
This role focuses on the University's operations, including measuring scope 1, 2, and all scope 3 emissions. It also examines biodiversity impacts and wider environmental impacts, emphasizing Circular Economy topics like plastics and water.
The Carbon and Sustainability Analyst is a key role within the Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability, managing analysis of the University’s sustainability performance, especially greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). The role will mainly focus on GHG analysis across scopes 1, 2, and 3, including data reporting and visualization. Support for reporting frameworks and analysis related to biodiversity impacts and other environmental metrics may also be required. The position reports to the Deputy Director SRS and Head of Sustainability within the Sustainability Unit.
Your skills and attributes for success:
* Degree in a relevant field or equivalent training in areas such as carbon management, environmental science, policy, sustainable development, data science, or related disciplines.
* Extensive experience in carbon accounting and reporting, aligned with GHG protocols or environmental impact analysis, with a strong emphasis on GHG.
* Advanced skills in Excel, data analysis, report writing, and presentation.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and deliver accurate results on time.
* Experience in report writing, attention to detail, numerical proficiency, and data handling skills.
