PK Education are working closely with specialist schools, PRUs, and alternative provisions across Wakefield who are urgently seeking passionate and resilient SEND support staff.

The Role:
You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them to:
Regulate emotions
Access learning
Build confidence in the classroom
You’ll be working with students with:
Autism (ASC)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
ADHD
Challenging behaviour
Experience in the following is highly valued:
SEND schools or PRUs
Youth work, care, mentoring, or coaching
Behaviour support roles
Backgrounds in psychology, education, or social care
(No formal qualifications required – experience and the right attitude matter most.)
Requirements:
Experience supporting children or young people (professional or voluntary)
Willingness to complete safeguarding and compliance checks
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing, potentially until the end of the academic year
