Essential Requirements
1. Minimum 1 year experience working with children or young people in any care, education or support setting.
2. Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
3. Ability to advocate for young people and promote their wellbeing
4. Reliable, professional, and committed to safeguarding
Desirable
5. Residential childcare experience (highly advantageous)
6. Experience working effectively within a team
7. High integrity and emotional resilience
Key Responsibilities
8. Support children and young people in daily routines
9. Create and maintain a safe, nurturing home environment
10. Build positive, trusting relationships as a key worker
11. Promote education, independence, and positive behaviour
12. Work with social workers, families, and other professionals
13. Contribute to care plans and independence goals
14. Maintain a clean, organised home environment
15. Complete accurate records and essential admin
16. Make informed decisions to support young people during shifts
17. Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high‑quality care
