We’re looking for an exceptional Lead Pharmacist to take the clinical and strategic lead of our Pharmacy Services at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Ilford. This senior role is your opportunity to influence high-quality, safe and innovative medicines management across our hospital and affiliated services.
As our most senior pharmacist on site, you’ll shape service delivery, lead a talented team, drive clinical excellence, and contribute directly to the national medicines optimisation agenda. You’ll also be part of our group-wide Senior Pharmacy Leadership Team—giving you the platform to influence practice beyond your own site.

In This Varied And Influential Role, You Will Be
* Leading and managing the onsite pharmacy team, including pharmacists, technicians, assistants, and trainees.
* Driving the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-focused pharmacy services in line with national standards.
* Leading on pharmaceutical aspects of new service mobilisation and hospital development projects.
* Embedding innovative models of care, including virtual pharmacy reviews and peri-operative pharmacy services.
* Overseeing governance, medicines management, and audit programmes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
* Acting as the senior clinical pharmacy expert, providing advice to consultants, clinicians, and patients.
* Representing pharmacy at senior management level and contributing to strategic planning, cost improvement programmes, and digital transformation projects.
* Developing and mentoring staff, supporting credentialing, and fostering advanced practice opportunities.
What we'll look for in you
We’re looking for an inspiring pharmacy leader with a passion for clinical excellence, service innovation and outstanding patient care.
You Will Bring
* Senior experience within hospital or primary care pharmacy, with a strong track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
* Be confident in clinical governance, medicines safety, audit and service development, and able to interpret complex clinical and operational data to drive improvement.
* An excellent communicator who can influence stakeholders and work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.
* Master’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
* GPhC registration
* Postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification
* Independent Prescribing qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
