Employment Solicitor/Legal Executive - 3-5 Years' PQE+A well-established multi-office legal practice is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its expanding team of ten within the Employment Department, based in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Employment Law Specialist to progress their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.About the Role:You will handle a varied contentious caseload, with a strong emphasis on Employment Tribunal defence work for Respondents. Approximately 25-30% of the role will involve managing Tribunal matters, while the remainder will focus on providing commercial employment law and HR advice to a portfolio of retained employer clients.This position is part of a department that supports a nationwide HR and employment advisory service, offering practical, solution-focused guidance, bespoke documentation and on-site support when required.Key Responsibilities:Managing a mixed Employment Tribunal caseload (primarily Respondent defence)Providing day-to-day employment law and HR advice to a portfolio of 20-25 retained employer clients, including independent schools, care homes and GP practicesDrafting and reviewing employment documentation, policies and contractsSupporting clients with disciplinaries, grievances, investigations and employee relations mattersAttending client premises when required and co-chairing hearingsDelivering HR and employment law training sessions to managers and leadership teamsContributing to the development of the contentious employment practiceCandidate Requirements:3-5+ years PQE as an Employment Solicitor or equivalent Legal Executive experienceProven experience managing a diverse Employment Tribunal caseloadStrong background advising employers on HR and employment law issuesExcellent written communication, organisational skills and attention to detailStrong IT capability, including proficiency with MS Office; case management system experience is helpful but not essentialA proactive, commercial mindset with excellent client-care skillsFull UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (travel to client sites required)Experience in professional sectors or delivering HR training is welcome but not essentialSalary & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceUp to 34 days' annual leave, including bank holidays and Christmas shutdownCompany pension schemePrivate medical insuranceOn-site parkingExcellent career progression opportunities, including scope to help shape the contentious employment divisionApply:To apply for this Employment Solicitor role, please contact Rebecca Healey at G2 Legal or apply online.
