Support Workers Needed at a Specialist School in Darwen, Lancashire
78 per hour (£20,941.30 actual salary) depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time Only
Nestled in the tranquil woodlands of Darwen, this 'Good' rated specialist school is dedicated to providing outstanding education and care for students aged 10-19 with complex needs, including Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, and more. They are currently seeking a passionate and committed Level 1-2 SEN Teaching Assistant (Support Workers) to join their vibrant team.
As a Support Worker, you will be instrumental in supporting the academic and personal growth of the students. Providing essential support for students' learning and well-being.
Assisting with care needs and promoting positive behaviour.
Working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored, high-quality educational experiences.
Assist in Learning: Help plan and evaluate educational activities.
Support Positive Behaviour: Foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth through a holistic approach.
Be flexible and ready to assist in the dynamic SEN environment.
Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above (essential); Level 2 or higher qualification in Support Work for Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable).
Knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection, creativity, positivity, and a child-first approach.
Driving License: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (essential for student carpooling).
