Role: National Head of Sales
Reports To: Managing Director
Base: Field based with HQ visits and client meetings
Benefits: Up to £50,000 p.a. plus a performance related bonus (TBC), company car, laptop and mobile phone
The National Head of Sales is a pivotal role within Venners Business Development Team.
You will work closely with your team to develop, coach and inspire them to high performance. You will have overall responsibility for the delivery of the Sales Strategy. Building long lasting and professional working relationships with internal and external customers will be a key element of the role.
Ideally you will have a background in servicing the hospitality sector and be able to demonstrate your ability to network. A proven track record of winning national based accounts is essential.
Main Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
* Deliver on your personal sales targets
* Build strong and long-lasting partnerships with all clients establishing opportunities for additional service line sales.
* Collaborate with marketing to ensure the growth of brand awareness
* Focus on strategic year on year growth in line with budgeted expectations
* Ensure that your team are competent and knowledgeable on all sales strategies and approaches.
* Develop and coach your team to high performance
* Effective communication with all internal stakeholders.
* Support and develop Company Sales initiatives and execute to a high standard at all times
* Financial management of budget and delivery of activity in line with business, group and client requirements.
* Complete all administrative and reporting tasks to ensure time requirements are met
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
* Proven experience and a successful track record of managing a sales team
* A demonstrable ability to deliver strong performance over all key performance indicators
* Proven experience in winning national contract accounts
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Experience in servicing the Hospitality sector
* Commercial acumen to spot opportunities.
* Manage efficiency through tight control of spend and resource allocation, utilise available funds appropriately to deliver overall activity
* Experience of developing team to build strong internal succession plans
* Ability to coach and improve personal and business performance
* Ability to document ideas and actions to drive performance from business plans
