Registered Nurse - Nights at The Grand Care Centre

Our stunning care home, The Grand Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in West Bridgford, Nottingham. The home is registered to provide care to 82 residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. Rated GOOD by CQC in all domains, we uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. Located conveniently with a strong local reputation, we pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care, with all staff paid at least the national living wage.
We are seeking to appoint a Registered Nurse to join our team. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in providing leadership to the care team and ensuring effective 24-hour management of the home within available resources. We offer a 42.88-hour contract with an excellent salary. Shift times are 19:45-08:00, with alternate weekend working. Role Responsibilities:
* Promote the highest standard of person-centred clinical nursing care to residents.
* Manage and supervise the care team, ensuring quality care delivery during your shift.
* Be a role model demonstrating person-centred care.
* Take responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of adults you are responsible for or come into contact with.
* Manage the delivery of residents' personalized care according to their care plans during your shift.
* Support professional standards within the home, assisting the Deputy and Home Manager.
* Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants.
* Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
* Maintain accurate records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
* Manage daily rotas and delegate workload, ensuring safe and sufficient staffing.
* Complete new admission files within the first week, involving the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
* Build relationships with external professionals.
* Assist the home manager in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience in Elderly care is essential.
* Registered Nurse with a valid PIN.
* Knowledge of caring for older people to effectively coach and supervise staff.
* Professional manner and appearance.
* Ability to coordinate and motivate a team.
* Ability to prioritize and handle emergency situations effectively.
