- Down M11 (Chelmsford, Colchester, Bishop Stortford) Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £45,000 £48,000 DOE Benefits: Company Van & Fuel Card | Paid Travel Time | On-Call Allowance (1 in 11) ROLE OVERVIEW Trevett Services are looking for a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer on a growing contract with one of our largestFacilities Services clients.
The role is for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer tosupport a portfolio of sites: corporate, commercial and educational, across the Cambridge region.
The patch spanning from Bishop Stortford, Chelmford and Colcthester.
Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across commercial gas and associated mechanical systems within a range of environments including schools, educational facilities and commercial buildings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver customer-focused PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial gas plant and associated mechanical systems Ensure all works meet statutory, contractual and safety compliance requirements Carry out maintenance and fault-finding on associated mechanical equipment including: Gas booster sets, Pressurisation units, Pressure vessels andWater heaters (vented and unvented).
Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports Liaise professionally with clients and site teams, clearly explaining required remedial actions Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota (1 in 11) Support a team-based service delivery approach across the region REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer within FM or commercial environments Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability Gas Safe Registered Current ACS qualifications including: CIGA1, CODNCO1, CORT1, ICAE1, ICPN1, TPCP1 & TPCP1A Full UK Driving Licence (company vehicle provided) Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) Professional, personable approach when dealing with clients and stakeholders WORKING HOURS Monday to Friday 40 hours per week Overtime available BENEFITS PACKAGE £45,000 £48,000 salary (dependent on experience) Company van and fuel card Travel time paid (excluding first and last 30 minutes of the day) On-call allowance (1 in 11 rota) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Employer pension contribution Sick pay Private medical insurance Employee Assistance Programme (24/7 support including counselling and legal advice) Personal wellbeing and volunteer days Flexible benefits including: Dental insurance, Gym membership, Cycle to Work scheme, Travel insurance, Give As You Earn schemes, Ongoing training and personal development programme. xjlbheb
