We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Software Developerto work at our Liverpool Headquarters site on a 18-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be the sole IT Software developer within the business and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our organization. You will have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, suggest solutions, develop efficient code, and implement innovative solutions. This role requires strong programming skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role would report into the Process Transformation Manager and would play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding other colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge in software development. Key Responsibilities: Work alongside the Process Transformation Manager to gather process requirements from key stakeholders. Review external solutions and present various options to stakeholders to ensure the best software solutions are implemented. Design, develop and maintain business systems, applications and integrations in line with business requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as needed, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Evaluate current systems for potential redevelopment using altenative improved technologies. Integrate software components and third-party libraries to meet system requirements. Ensuring the quality of developed solutions to minimise the impact of deployment and configuration tasks. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following software development best practices. Design and develop software solutions using programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or .NET. Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.Ensure compliance with security standards and implement necessary measures to protect the organisation. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend system enhancements and improvements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of integrating different systems and technologies to ensure seamless communication and data flow between various components of the IT infrastructure. Proficiency in documenting system configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team. Willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and changing business requirements. Familiar with common data sources and services e.g. SharePoint, SQL Server, Azure, Office 365 etc. Knowledge of programming languages such as Javascript, C# and web development technologies e.g. HTML, CSS, JSON. Knowledge of algorithms and data structures Analysis and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritise and manage tasks Strong attention to detail Passion for sharing knowledge and helping others grow in their software development skills.
