About The Role
As Foundation Director you will manage the Foundation team and, in partnership with them, secure maximum funding from donors to support the school’s strategic objectives and build a sustainable voluntary revenue stream. Your key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership – develop and motivate a productive and engaged development team, growing income streams from overseas and local parents.
* Income Generation – establish a strong, sustainable and diverse income stream from direct mail, telephone campaigns, legacies and individual gifts, with a focus on larger individual donations. Maintain engagement with existing major donors and stakeholders.
* Effective Reporting – provide the leadership team and trustees with clear, timely reporting on development activities.
* Strategic Leadership – develop a clear strategy for the Foundation team, supported by the ULT and Foundation Board. Keep the Headmaster, Bursar and Foundation Chairman briefed on all development activities.
* Standards and Ethics – uphold high standards and maintain the Foundation’s reputation within the sector and the school community.
Qualifications
• Educated to degree level.
• Qualifications in Fundraising (IoF) desirable.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
* Senior fundraising leadership experience in an educational environment.
* A proven track record of fundraising success, especially with major gifts.
* Outstanding team leadership abilities.
* Strong IT skills and familiarity with databases, research tools and applications that support fundraising.
