G S Brown Construction Limited, a family run housebuilding business established in 1970, are looking for a Buyer to join their team.
Main role responsibilities include:
· Being the centralised buyer for a number of sites
· Raising material purchase orders & monitoring invoices
· Assisting commercial department with day to day roles
· Performing material take offs from drawings
· Communicating with site managers, interpreting construction programmes and having a knowledge of the house build process in order to deliver materials into site at the right time
· Negotiating with suppliers
· Complete any other duties as required by the Senior Management team
The ideal candidate will have:
· Good Negotiation skills
· Must have experience within procurement in Construction, preferably new build housing
· Technical ability to interpret drawings and bill up materials
· Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
· A self-motivated, flexible team player with strong multitasking skills
