We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities, implement care plans, and contribute to a positive environment for our clients. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are vital for success in this position.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation and medication management
* Implement individual care plans tailored to the specific needs of each client
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
* Drive to clients' homes as required, providing care in a variety of settings
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
* Uphold the dignity and respect of all clients while promoting their independence
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous
* Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and colleagues
* Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using electronic health systems
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between client locations
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
