Junior Accountant
London | Hybrid (4 days office-based)
An established, FCA-regulated investment management firm is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its growing London-based finance team.
This role is well suited to a part-qualified accountant that has sat some exams, looking to gain broad exposure across financial accounting, management reporting, audit and regulatory processes within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Month-end bookkeeping, journals, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
2. Maintenance of fixed asset and balance sheet schedules
3. Processing invoices, payments and staff expenses
4. Assisting with monthly management accounts
5. Supporting year-end and group audits
6. VAT and statutory filings
7. Compliance and regulatory reporting support
8. Ad-hoc finance and operational support as required
Candidate Profile
9. Has started their accounting qualification and is actively studying: ACA / ACCA / CIMA
10. Strong academic background in accounting, finance or a numerate discipline
11. Solid understanding of accounting principles
12. Comfortable working in a small team with multiple priorities
13. Strong Excel skills; experience with Xero or similar systems advantageous
14. Investment management or regulated environment experience desirable
15. UK right to work required
