An opportunity is available for a skilled Electrical Craft Team Member to join a busy engineering maintenance team at an industrial manufacturing plant in Corby, Northamptonshire.
This role involves working within a multi-skilled shift team to ensure plant electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The successful candidate will carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and supporting continuous plant operations.
The role requires strong electrical fault-finding skills, the ability to work with control circuits, motors and drives, and experience with industrial electrical systems in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant electrical systems.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on relay control circuits, AC/DC motors and drives.
* Perform basic PLC fault finding on Siemens S7-300, S7-1200 and S7-1500 systems.
* Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records using SAP PM or similar CMMS systems.
* Support plant reliability by identifying and implementing small improvement initiatives.
* Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety and operational procedures.
Requirements
* Apprentice trained or Level 3 qualification such as BTEC, City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
* Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Strong electrical fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
* Knowledge of low voltage systems, motors and drives.
* Ability to work rotating shifts (days, lates and nights) Monday to Friday.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team.
Desirable Skills
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
* Basic mechanical maintenance awareness.
* Experience using SAP PM or other CMMS systems.
