The Role
As a Graduate Fire Engineer you will work alongside some of the best engineers in the industry on the UK’s largest and most high‑profile projects.
* Work on live projects from day one – exposure to a variety of sectors from healthcare to hotels.
* Produce detailed designs and drawings using CAD and Revit.
* Undertake site surveys and research ground‑breaking technologies.
* Continuous CPD and learning opportunities.
* Review building designs for fire compliance and design bespoke fire engineering solutions.
* Undertake smoke and temperature spread calculations, complex smoke and evacuation modelling (CFD simulations), detailed fire dynamics and structural assessments.
* Analyze potential fires, develop advice and provide recommendations for life‑safety systems.
* Assist in the production of fire strategy reports.
* Communicate with project teams, clients, end users and coordinate collaborative meetings.
About You
* Engineering Council accredited degree (2.2 or above), ideally Fire Safety Engineering, Building Services, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a science‑based degree (Maths, Physics).
* Master’s or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
* Grade B or above in A‑Level Maths or a science subject.
* Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is an advantage.
* Understanding of CFD or similar modelling software is an advantage.
* Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
* A friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach.
