Operations Manager - Shoreditch Community Wellness Space A vibrant community space in the heart of Shoreditch is dedicated to fostering connection, personal growth, and transformation through a range of sessions, experiences, workshops, and events. The site comprises multipurpose spaces, a sauna and integration room, changing facilities, and a café. We are seeking an adaptable and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily running of the space, ensuring the highest standard of service is upheld across all functions and activities. This is a pivotal role in driving member and customer experience, increasing productivity, and maximising repeat revenue through the seamless management of various processes and people. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, scrupulous organisational skills, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. Requirements A deep passion for creating community, dreaming of a new way of being, and daring to innovate Proven experience in operations and event management, ideally in the wellness, health, or fitness sectors The ability to problem solve in high-pressure situations whilst remaining calm and helpful Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and work with a diverse group of people A passion for creating memorable experiences for customers and members as well as facilitators and partners An expert in managing a wide and varied workload Role Description Oversee the day-to-day operations of the space, including opening or closing procedures, monitoring and enforcing health and safety policies, managing operational and booking systems. Oversee all aspects of executing the weekly programme, including logistics, room bookings, and equipment set-up. Act as the main point of contact for internal and external facilitators and contributors, providing ongoing support to ensure smooth execution of sessions and events. Ensure that all facilities and equipment are in good working order and address any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the spaces. Manage the Front of House team and assist with staff scheduling, including rota planning to ensure smooth operations. Oversee the operations of the sauna and integration space. Raise and track complaints, resolving issues swiftly and effectively. Work closely with the Program Manager to manage operations of all large-scale evening events ("gatherings") and long-format workshops ("immersions"). Assess the hire type and level of management required. Organise staff, additional equipment hire, and deep clean as necessary. Manage space set-up and reset. Manage operations for private and corporate hires, ensuring seamless execution. Establish and maintain positive relationships with external suppliers and the in-house F&B operator. Collaborate with the Programme Manager to continually develop innovative programming and promotion to attract and retain members, driving revenue growth. Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to the General Manager.
