Job Introduction
At William Grant & Sons, IT is leading the way as an enabler to expand a growing business. The Infrastructure Operations team is key to the running of the global business both on premise and in the cloud. We are early in our cloud migration strategy and looking for someone to guide and influence this journey, along with improving and maintaining our current environment.
Main Responsibilities
You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference by working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating across departments and the wider business. You will influence and recommend critical infrastructure improvements and changes. Focusing on Azure infrastructure and on-premise systems, your work will include both BAU activities and project work, supporting the cloud migration and upskilling team members. You will support a global organization, working within a team of 7 supporting over 130 IT colleagues and the wider business worldwide.
Our Ideal Candidate
You should have a background in infrastructure, both on-premise and in the cloud, with a focus on Azure. Ideally, you have 10 years of experience in a similar role and at least 3 years implementing Azure infrastructure solutions. Hands-on experience with Azure migration, infrastructure, storage, networks, identity, and enterprise applications is essential. You should also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Server and related on-premise technologies. A positive attitude, resilience, leadership experience in critical projects, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions are important qualities.
