Part‑time role (22.5 hours per week). Permanent/Fixed Term. Salary: Up to £26,500 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification).

Duties Of This Role Include
* Perform venepuncture procedures safely and accurately in accordance with clinical protocols.
* Provide reassurance and support to patients, using a calm and professional approach to reduce anxiety or discomfort.
* Identify patients correctly using established safety protocols and confirm tests required prior to blood draw.
* Label all specimens clearly and accurately, ensuring correct patient details and test requirements.
* Prepare, package, and transport samples in line with pathology protocols, infection prevention guidance, and safety standards.
* Complete necessary paperwork or electronic data entry accurately, ensuring traceability and compliance with data protection regulations.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
* Experience in Phlebotomy in a healthcare or clinical setting.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
* Understanding of infection prevention, patient identification procedures, and specimen handling.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Formal training or certification in Phlebotomy (Level 2 or equivalent).
* Experience working in hospitals, GP practices, or private healthcare settings.
* Knowledge of electronic patient records or laboratory systems.
* Understanding of safeguarding and patient confidentiality standards.
