Location: Crawley, West Sussex Salary: £33,924 per annum (plus paid breaks, 33 days holiday including bank/public holidays, discretionary bonus scheme, and additional benefits) About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of their busy warehouse operation. This role involves leading a team to ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe handling of goods, while maintaining excellent standards of service to meet customer demand. The successful candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and confident in motivating others to achieve high performance in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate and supervise a team of warehouse operatives to achieve operational targets and maintain a safe, productive working environment. Organise and oversee the accurate picking, packing, loading, and dispatch of goods in line with customer expectations. Support workload planning, shift allocation, and the training and development of team members. Monitor and maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards across all warehouse activities. Safe and secure opening or locking up of the site when required. Take responsibility for the safety of the team, ensuring all Health & Safety (H&S) procedures are followed at all times. Work flexibly on occasion, you may be required to support other warehouses within the company due to business needs and customer demand (appropriate notice will be given). Skills & Experience Proven work experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong teamwork skills and willingness to participate as a hands-on member of the team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Good analytical and reasoning skills to support problem-solving and operational improvements. Sound knowledge of health & safety practices, manual handling, and hazardous substances. Ideally, previous experience using counterbalance and high-reach forklift trucks, powered pallet trucks, and holding a valid forklift licence. Full UK driving licence.
