Cheltenham Town FC Academy is welcoming applications for an Academy Lead Goalkeeping Coach who will oversee the planning and implementation of our goalkeeping development strategy.
We seek an individual capable of developing future first team players, managing the goalkeeping program (U9-U18), and communicating effectively with key stakeholders.
The Academy Lead Goalkeeping Coach will report to the Academy Head of Coaching and be responsible for planning, delivering, and reflecting on all sessions. They will lead MDT reviews, player reviews, and provide feedback following the Academy's procedures for goalkeepers from U9 to U18.
This role suits someone with experience in Academy football coaching, aiming for full-time experience within an Academy setting. The ideal candidate will hold a UEFA B goalkeeping qualification (essential / working towards UEFA B considered), and have emergency first aid in football (desirable).
The position is full-time (35 hours/week), requiring flexibility for evening and weekend fixtures. Compensation is aligned with the national living wage.
The successful candidate will join an ambitious Category 3 Academy with a dedicated staff striving for excellence.

Purpose of the Role
To develop goalkeepers' football and holistic growth (U9-U18), managing their technical, tactical, and personal development in collaboration with coaching staff. Responsible for detailed planning and implementation of individual learning plans aligned with club philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
* Personal Development: Engage in ongoing CPD and FA qualifications.
* Coaching & Philosophy: Deliver coaching curriculum aligned with club philosophy, design age-appropriate programs, lead sessions and games.
* Games Programme: Support game design, maximize playing time, monitor player progress, and facilitate loan opportunities.
* Individual Learning Plans: Use MDT approach for ILPs, manage player transitions.
* Feedback: Provide feedback to staff, players, and parents per club protocols.
