GSL Education are pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a reliable and motivated Cover Supervisor to work within schools across Sheffield. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes, delivering pre-set work, and ensuring students remain engaged and focused throughout lessons. Main Responsibilities: Supervise whole classes during teacher absence using provided lesson materials. Maintain positive behaviour and follow school behaviour policies effectively. Ensure students stay on task and complete assigned work. Provide clear instructions and support where appropriate. Manage classroom routines to create a calm and productive learning environment. Report back to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour. Requirements of CS: Previous experience working with young people or within an educational setting is desirable. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Confidence managing groups of students independently. A professional, adaptable, and proactive approach to work. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). What’s in It for You?
