Location: Anzac West, Bristol x3 days per week AND x2 days per week remote working Status: Contract - INSIDE IR35 Duration: Approved until 31dec26 (renewable) Reports to : N4S & Equipment Pressure Compliance Manager/Lead Engineer Morson Edge are delighted to present an opportunity for suitably qualified Mechanical Engineers (Pressure Compliance), to join our clients established team for work associated with a major energy infrastructure Project in Somerset. Scope Role holders will take responsibility for managing the pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements within specific projects, on behalf of a specific programme. You will require good technical and organisational capabilities to effectively interface with Project Managers and relevant stakeholders in the programme, the ONR, third party organisations and support the supply chain in delivery. You will comprise part of a team who act as the point of contact for pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements - through all phases of the project and for the various project policies, for their allocated scope. Roles may require occasional trips abroad (mainland Europe) Principal Accountabilities Support the development and maintenance of the pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements for their appointed work scope. Ensure that project policies, processes and contracts are implemented and delivered to the right quality to manage pressure systems regulation and structural integrity safety case requirements. Responsible for arbitration and technical decisions on the Projects relating to pressure systems regulation and structural integrity compliance for their programme. Manage on behalf of the Programme Pressure Compliance Team Leader, the pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements. Maintain personnel SQEP status to support nuclear baseline requirements. Dimensions Ensuring delivery by third parties on behalf of the project. Develop strong working relationships within Project Teams, regulators and the supply chain. Be able to credibly advise projects and programmes on technical requirements and act as the technical decision maker in regard to pressure systems compliance and structural integrity activities as per their delegation of authority escalating as necessary through the Pressure Compliance Organisation. Have the credibility to engage on a day-to-day basis with the senior project managers and project managers to ensure the key requirements of pressure compliance and project delivery constraints are balanced. Criteria: Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Typically degree qualified in a related Engineering or Science based discipline or equivalent industry related knowledge/experience Relevant experience in large scale project or asset management within a highly regulated industry sector Relevant experience of engineering topics associated with pressure systems manufacture, installation, structural integrity and conformity assessment. Experience of mechanical engineering design and operation of pressure equipment specifically built to RCC-M or ASME codes (highly desirable). Multidisciplinary and matrix environment experience. Ability to work regulators and supply chain companies to coach/guide through the pressure compliance process. Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to plant in the UK would be a plus.
