Location: Lisburn, Co. Antrim (Full Time)
Reports To: NPD Manager & Leadership Team
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum
Job Role:
The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products comply with regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle — from development and manufacturing to marketing and distribution. This role involves leading regulatory submissions, managing product registrations, reviewing claims and labelling, and ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant cosmetic legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee all regulatory compliance activities for BPerfect & Voduz products across assigned markets (e.g., EU, UK, US).
* Ensure compliance with applicable cosmetic regulations such as EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, UK Cosmetics Regulation, FDA, REACH.
* Prepare and maintain Product Information Files (PIFs).
* Review and approve product artwork and claims to ensure compliance with regulatory and advertising standards.
* Manage notification and registration processes (e.g., EU CPNP, UK SCPN, FDA VCRP).
* Liaise with internal departments (NPD, Marketing, Warehouse) to ensure regulatory input & quality assurance at every stage.
* Keep up to date with changing cosmetic legislation, standards, and guidance documents globally, and communicate updates to relevant departments.
* Interface with regulatory authorities, testing laboratories, and external consultants when required.
* Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews related to cosmetic regulations and product safety.
* Monitor and manage post-market surveillance activities, including customer complaints and adverse event reporting.
* Provide training and guidance to internal teams on regulatory requirements and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Regulatory Affairs, or related discipline.
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs.
* Strong understanding of global cosmetic regulations (EU, UK, US & International).
* Experience with PIF preparation, CPSR, and cosmetic claims substantiation.
* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) ISO 22716.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
* Ability to work independently & manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Continuous learning and adaptability.
* Proficiency in microsoft office suite and regulatory database systems.
