Overview
Wood are looking to recruit for a Principal/Senior Instrument Engineer with extensive project delivery experience to support the Client contract as required. Candidates should have experience working on UK North Sea brownfield projects, control system modifications and a good understanding of functional safety principles & lifecycle management.
Responsibilities
* Execute assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, client and project standards.
* Originate and check instrument engineering deliverables as required on Client Contract within budget and schedule.
* Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports.
* Manage discipline CTRs, provide input to estimates, proposals, plans and progress.
* Develop calculation packages as required.
* Perform site / client office visits if required.
* Present and describe engineering solutions and concepts competently to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Organise, plan and coordinate own work as well as the resources assigned on a specific project.
* Support quality & technical assurance activities as required.
Qualifications
* MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification or BSc, BEng or equivalent with substantial experience, or HNC / HND or equivalent with relevant considerable experience.
