An excellent opportunity has arisen for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly rated primary school in Runcorn. This school is seeking a passionate, calm and inspiring Teaching Assistant to become a part of their team. This role will be within a mainstream primary setting who pride themselves on the strong relationships we nurture with children, parents, governors and members of our local community.
Your new role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant your main role will be to provide support and guidance to a pupil to ensure they are able to fully access the curriculum and enjoy their education. The role is to support a child with their behavioural and physical needs. You will play a massive part in their development and success. You will support the teacher with the delivery of lessons, both inside and outside the classroom, whilst also supporting the pupil's wellbeing.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful with your application you will need:
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, ideal but not essential.
* You will need to have experience of working with children within the last 2 years.
* You should feel confident working with children in small groups or in a 1:1 setting.
* You should have a mature and professional attitude towards work.
* You will need to be able to communicate comfortably with teachers, parents and pupils.
