Role Overview
Our client creates theatre that entertains and inspires using its creativity, expertise and unique reach. They share unforgettable stories with millions of audience members across the UK and around the world – on stage, on tour, in schools, on cinema screen and streaming at home. The organisation now requires a Senior Major Gifts Manager and Prospectus is pleased to lead the search.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the key relationship manager for a portfolio of the theatre’s closest and most passionate supporters.
* Identify, cultivate, solicit and secure major gifts of £25,000 and more.
* Collaborate with the Development department, supporting senior management, trustees and the Development team in the solicitation of principal and major gifts.
* Support the new Stories Start Here campaign and build on the successful major donor fundraising programme.
Required Experience and Skills
* Background in a fundraising capacity with a proven track record of meeting targets and personally soliciting and securing five‑figure philanthropic gifts.
* Evidence of strong relationship management skills and the ability to proactively develop a portfolio of prospects.
* Demonstrable prospect research skills.
* Persuasive writing ability and experience creating compelling fundraising materials.
