Were supporting a leading national accountancy firm in appointing an
Audit Partner
to lead the strategic development of its Leeds office.
This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a key regional practice with the autonomy to shape the client base, build the local team, and define how the firm engages with the Yorkshire market.
The Role
The firm is investing in Leeds as a priority region, with a clear ambition to build a market-leading audit offering focused on the
private and PE-backed mid-market. The Partner joining will play a central role in shaping that growth journey.
Youll be responsible for:
Driving growth
in audit revenues, with a strong emphasis on building a portfolio of clients across the £30m£500m turnover range
Developing and leading the team
locally, helping to attract, mentor, and retain high-quality audit professionals
Representing the firm in the local market
, building relationships with CFOs, FDs, and business owners across Yorkshire
Maintaining and promoting audit quality
in line with the firms national standards and culture
Collaborating with colleagues nationally
, particularly in tax and corporate finance, to leverage internal referral channels and cross-functional opportunities
A key part of the brief will be to shape the future structure of the team and create a platform for sustainable growth.
What Youll Bring
A proven track record of
winning work
in the audit market, ideally c.£500k+ annually
Strong local market knowledge and a professional network in and around Leeds/Yorkshire
Experience managing and developing teams in a leadership role
Strong technical standards and a commitment to audit quality
A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable working without a legacy book or rigid hierarchy
Experience at Director, or Partner level within a mid-tier or Big 4 firm
