The Role
The job holder has responsibility for the smooth operation of our Cocktail Bar, Function Bar and outdoor Terraces. Reporting to the F&B Manager your main duties include:
* Managing a Permanent & Casual team of 6+ bar staff
* Completing monthly beverage stocktake and weekly ordering sheet
* Always ensure personal presentation of staff, both in terms of uniform and personal presentation/hygiene
* Ensure the bar is opened and closed according to SOP’s
* Creating and developing seasonal cocktail & beverage menus
* Achievement of Mystery Guest & AA Standards for the department
* Lead by example in achieving and implementing hotel key standards
* Presentation of front and back of house areas – cleanliness/layup to SOP standard
* Ensure effective induction and training plans of all new starters
* Train, coach, and mentor the bar team to ensure excellent performance, and motivation of team at all times
* Ensure the team is briefed daily for any special service requirements, promotions, issues
* Liaise with the Restaurant and Bar Manager to develop and improve bar service offering to guests and visitors
Requirements
* 42 hours per week, various shifts over 5 days including weekends
* Smart appearance and the passion and confidence to lead the team
* Excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service
* Ability to host with a warm and welcoming personality
* Supervisory/management Experience within a quality bar operation ideally within a 4 star/ 5 Star rated Hotel preferred
* Ability to manage and motivate the team
* Must have your own transport due to semi-rural location
