Job Outline:
As a production engineer, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives for all aspects of product manufacture, from best practice for solder joints to in‑process functional testing. You will specify, commission and maintain production equipment, in‑house tooling and test fixtures; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions; provide training and technical support to operators and technicians; lead product transfer with the design team; define, prepare, audit and maintain production documentation; and support metric collection (Yield, Scrap) reporting to management.
Responsibilities
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives for product manufacture.
* Specify, commission and maintain production equipment, tooling and test fixtures.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
* Provide training and technical support to operators and technicians.
* Lead transfer of new and custom products into production with design team.
* Define, prepare, audit and maintain production documentation (SOPs, work instructions, control plans).
* Support the collection and monitoring of process metrics (Yield, Scrap) and report to management.
Qualifications
* HND or higher in Electronic Engineering or similar.
* Industry experience is essential.
* Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
