SEND Teaching Assistants Needed – BSL Trained

Are you a compassionate and skilled SEND Teaching Assistant with BSL (British Sign Language) training? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and provide vital support to children with hearing impairments and additional needs across local primary schools.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s education while working within supportive and inclusive school environments.
About the Role:
* Supporting pupils with SEND, particularly those with hearing impairments
* Using BSL to communicate effectively and help pupils access learning
* Working alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored strategies
* Providing 1:1 or small group support depending on pupil needs
* Helping create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
* BSL trained (Level 1, 2, or above)
* Experience working with SEND pupils (primary setting preferred)
* Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
* Ability to adapt support to individual needs
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
