The Cleaning Supervisor at Somerset County Cricket Club (SCCC) is responsible for leading the delivery of contracted cleaning services at the ground. Situated in Taunton town centre, the Cooper Associates County Ground is an 8,500 seat County Championship venue with several conference and hospitality spaces for match and non-match day use.
The role is responsible for ensuring all duties and tasks are carried out as contractually specified with minimal interruption or risk to employees, client and the public. The Cleaning Supervisor will lead the daily and event delivery teams at SCCC, with direct line management responsibility of Team Leaders and Cleaning Team.
The role is full time, and the hours will be flexible with a need to respond to the demands of the Club s daily and event calendar. The role will involve weekday, evening, weekend and bank holiday shifts and the expectation is you manage your work in a five days out of seven manner, taking time off in synch with the work schedule.
The salary for the role is £26,000. The role reports to a Contract Manager.
There will be an expectation that you will use your experience and skills to inspire and input at other Cirka contracts from time to time as part of your ongoing professional development. This will be managed from within your primary focus of Somerset CCC.
Areas of Responsibility
Supervise the daily cleaning responsibilities, including the conference & meetings schedule of demands.
• Lead match day operations including, event pre-clean, during event and post clean schedules.
• Work according to set budgetary constraints.
• Supervise the staff team, assist with the recruitment, training, and team deployment.
• Complete, approve and submit team member timesheets as required by the business.
• Ensure all staff processes are followed and adhered to throughout the team.
• Manage logistics and deliveries.
• Responsible for ensuring stock is regularly checked and orders for consumables, chemicals, materials etc. are completed on time.
• Ensure any equipment and machinery required is available, checked and working as required.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with client, ensuring client reports and meetings are completed in accordance with client expectations.
• Identify issues and provide solutions, ensuring actions are completed in accordance with agreed timelines.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed within the business and that equipment is maintained in a safe operating condition.
• Any other duties or responsibilities as directed by a Cirka Senior Manager.

Experience & Knowledge
Essential
• An effective supervisor, with ability to adapt and change in a growing sport environment and support others to achieve service targets.
• Experience and understanding of cleaning operations.
• Demonstrable experience of creating and developing internal and external relationships.
• Excellent customer service skills and experienced in working with and resolving issues.
• Experienced in hazard identification and risk assessments including Safe Work Method Statements.
• A sound understanding of financial processes, including managing staffing and purchasing, to ensure operations are delivered within budget.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including experience of completing reports for clients.
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and experience working with online document management systems and apps.
Desirable
• Experience of match day event operations and managing an event delivery workforce.
• Knowledge and understanding of Quality, Environment and OH&S Systems safe systems of work and environmental management.
• Knowledge and understanding of workforce management processes and software.
• Full UK driver s licence.
