Role Description
This is a full-time Homes Manager role based at our 3 bed EBD home in Birmingham, which is rated “good”. The home has an in house Clinical Psychologist and is supported by a full time RI (me).
Responsibilities
The Homes Manager will oversee the daily operations and management of the team. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality services. Responsibilities include supervising staff, handling budgets, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, and addressing any maintenance or operational issues. The Homes Manager will also liaise with families, and professionals to ensure exceptional care and service delivery. A manager who is flexible and willing to support the team by being on shift as and when required.
Qualifications
* Strong leadership, organizational, and management skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
* Knowledge and understanding of compliance of Children’s Homes regulations and health & safety standards
* Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
* Proficiency in administrative tasks and budget management
* Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of multi-agency professionals
* Experience in social care or housing sector preferred
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in management or social care are beneficial
* Update regulatory records as well as ensuring the young people’s records are maintained and reflective of their individual need
* Lead a team and embed Trauma informed and PACE lead care
* Level 5 in leadership and management or agree to work towards
* Understanding of relevant legislation such ss Childrens Act, Working Together to Safeguard Children
